Job Summary and Qualifications

Responsibilities include:

You will assess, reassess, develop, and implement the Infection Control/Employee Health Plan in accordance with regulatory agencies and all federal and state requirements.

You will assess employees and their environment for injury, illness, and risk then implement appropriate safety precautions and follow up procedures.

You will assess patients for risk of transmission or exposure to infection and you will implement appropriate safety precautions and follow up procedures.

Utilizing and integrating all available pertinent data in developing Infection Control/Employee Health Plan you will help meets the needs of all customers.

You will interpret data to determine when patients or employees are at acute risk for infection and takes appropriate measures including notifying physician and/or Department Director.

You will prioritize patient/health care workers needs based on assessment/reassessment findings relating to the prevention or spread of disease.

Qualifications

Licensed as a Registered Nurse or Medical Tech in this state

BSN, BS Medical Technologist, or Master's in Public Health or Epidemiology preferred

Minimum 2 year acute care experience with a solid understanding of hemodynamics

BLS through the American Heart Association

CIC - Certified Infection Control preferred
