Overview:

Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a full-time Grant Manager who can assist Client Managers and engineers in client management, grant research, grant writing, and funding award management. The selected candidate will work with city and county clients and other government agencies as well as a team of engineers and planners across multiple offices and geographic regions to secure and manage funding for clients projects. This position is client-facing and will require public meeting attendance.

Responsibilities:

Research funding opportunities and summarize details for clients.
Conduct outreach to Client Managers and clients on opportunities.
Prepare funding applications (write narratives, complete forms and coordinate application components with client and internal team).
Manage funding awards, as needed on behalf of clients, to ensure compliance and timely reimbursement.
Prepare effective work plans, schedules and man-hour budgets for tasks.
Perform client management duties and participate in business development efforts, as needed.
Monitor time schedules and budgets on projects to satisfy the client as well as control work and productivity.
Responsible for the quality control/quality assurance process for assigned grant writing and award management projects.
Oversee the work and productivity on assigned projects.
Regular contact with clients, consultants, governmental agencies, involved communities and contractors in connection with the projects.

Qualifications:

3-5 years of experience in similar position or field.
Grant writing and management experience in the civil engineering field is preferred. Experience with the following funding programs is preferred: FHWA, FEMA, HUD CDBG, EPA Brownfields, USDA, and EPA Clean Water and Drinking Water State Revolving Funds.
Bachelors degree or background in Planning, Engineering, English, Political Science, Communications, or similar.
Excellent writing and research skills.
Excellent, proactive communication skills.
