Summary:

This role is more about building and developing a shipping team that appreciates the value of time, customer satisfaction and quality of delivery.  We are offering a supportive work environment, with aggressive growth plans for growth and success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare to load up to 2,500 cabinets daily for on-time and complete shipment.
  • Supervise and coordinate 6-8 shipping associates who will store and stage products for shipment, scan and review packing slips to ensure correct loads, and pack the necessary accessories for customers.
  • Ensure the shipping team understands and completes daily, weekly tasks as well as special reorganization projects that are delegated from management.
  • Create and follow new shipping metrics.
  • Create a complete training program to ensure shipping associates understand the mission, vision and duties necessary for a successful team.

Required Abilities and Skills:

  • Experience utilizing shipping software, excel and project software a must.
  • Experience in this position in the Kitchen Cabinet Industry will be a huge PLUS.
  • 5+ years’ experience in shipping, distribution and operational procedures
  • Able to multi-task and work independently while managing a shipping team
  • Proven leadership skills with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Education and Experience:

  • High School, Technical School diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in shipping and supervising a team

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift up to 60lbs, stand and walk for long periods of time, work in noisy environment, and bend, stretch, squat, move and stage parts to machining areas.
