Manufacturing Engineer

responsible for the effective manufacturing engineering and leadership of FANUC America logistics execution processes and internal projects from the initial plan through the completion of the project. Primary responsibilities will include: Create and provide control plans, build plans, quality control documents, safety requirements, protective personal equipment, and packaging/shipment plan per quality process. Estimate labor, design, build, and engineering’s needs for projects. Schedule and conduct Logistics review meetings to maintain the project’s schedule. Manage project execution with Management to project budget and schedule. Follow up/complete designs and material to ensure quality and adherence to delivery schedule is maintained. Interface with purchasing regarding supplier/component selection and initiate purchase requisitions. Coordinate validation testing of product and system to design/process requirements. Review deliverables prior to shipment for on-time, complete and accurate delivery onsite. Manage customer supplied items to quality process and customer requirements. Maintain a professional level of project/engineering document control per quality procedures. Act as a liaison between FANUC America Project Manager, Engineers, Vendors, Customers, and Manufacturing to execute project to plan. Provide feedback to Logistics Manager/Supervisors regarding logistics personnel, capabilities, and anticipated problems. Manage issues and problem-solving using quality processes and procedures. Provide weekly/daily project updates to project team and management. Propose and justify tooling and equipment to improve quality and cost down Logistics processes. Operate within ERP system and complete reporting requests from Logistics Management. Maintain project leadership by open communication, listening, and earning the confidence and respect of other team members. Be resourceful and exhibit a well thought approach to resolving the unexpected issues that may occur. Develop an understanding of Logistics and engineering applications while staying abreast of new technology that can be used to improve quality, lower cost and provide targeted results. Contribute to the ongoing improvement of corporate/group functions, activities, and goals. Reliable, consistent attendance required. Ideal Candidate will have the following skills/education: Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline, preferably in Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience. Minimum three years of industrial design and/or project management experience with robotics or industrial automation. Experience with ISO Quality Systems and Resource Planning Systems Experience and knowledge of OSHA Requirements Understanding of standard manufacturing assembly and fabrication practices Demonstrated competence, or willingness to learn SolidWorks and AutoCAD design Understanding of Logistical processes and procedures Ability to operate independently while maintaining a high degree of initiative Ability to interact professionally and ethical friendly demeanor to both internal/external customers at all levels of the organization We offer market competitive pay and benefits programs, as well as opportunities for advancement, knowledge and skill development, and recognition of individual achievements.
