Settlement Officer

The Title Center Quincy, Illinois (in office) The Title Center, managed by publicly traded underwriter Investors Title Insurance Company, is seeking a Settlement Officer with strong communication and customer service skills. The Settlement Officer will manage and assist with settlement and loan processing functions in all markets where the agency performs settlements. Outstanding analytical ability and attention to detail are a must Position Highlights: Coordinate all aspects of the closing function and attend closings. Prepare and edit settlement statements. Ensure timely processing of deposits/checks/disbursements for closings. Perform all post-closing functions and coordinate document recordings. Deposit funds and cut checks where needed for recording. Conduct review of daily reconciliation items and follow up as needed Maintain awareness of market area, by being familiar with real estate attorneys, mortgage lenders, builders, and realtors. Position Qualifications: 4 year college degree or equivalent experience Minimum of 2 years of experience in real estate closings Ability to analyze routine real estate transaction documents Ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines, organize workload and maintain accurate files Strong oral and written communication skills Investors Title Management Services, LLC (ITMS) is a strong and growth-oriented title insurance provider.
