Job Description

JobTitle: GSPN Financial Analyst

Department: Accounting

Immediate SupervisorTitle: Director of Accounting

General Summary: An exempt, position responsible for collecting, analyzing, and monitoring the organization's financial data. This position will provide technical accounting, analysis and support to the GSPN Operations team.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
  1. With guidance, this individual will monitor, analyze, and report on financial data.
  2. Monitor and interpret financial data in the development of cost analysis and reports.
  3. Perform budget analysis and assist in the development of budgetary forecasts.
  4. Prepare and assist in budget-related statistical analysis, estimates and financial reports.
  5. Assist in the development and input of financial transactions.
  6. Assist in the financial oversight of Practice Performance
  7. Perform related duties based on departmental need.
Performance Requirements:
Knowledge:
  1. Knowledge of principles and practices for healthcare accounting
  2. Knowledge of billing/revenue cycle principles for medical practice
  3. Knowledge of annual budgeting principles
Skills:
  1. Skill in exercising a high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion, and decision- making to achieve objectives.
  2. Skill in analyzing spreadsheets.
  3. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
  4. Skill in organizing work, making assignments, and achieving goals and objectives.
  5. Skill in project management
Abilities:
  1. Ability to assume responsibility and exercise authority over assigned work functions.
  2. Ability to establish and maintain quality standards.
  3. Ability to organize and integrate organizational priorities and deadlines.


Qualifications

Education: Preferred:Bachelor's degree in Business or Accounting

Experience: Minimum 2 years' experience in Healthcare setting
