Tell me more about this role, what would I be doing?

Summary:

The Lien Associate will assist in overseeing the Lien Research Department and will work under the direction of and report to the Team Lead and Supervisor of Lien Risk Resolution. The Lien Associate will share knowledge and skills with Lien Risk Resolution team members to ensure properties identified at risk for liens are reviewed and processed timely and efficiently.

Essential Duties and Functions: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

The Lien Specialist will be responsible for:
  • Maintain client documentation
  • Locate HOA or Management Companies.
  • Make follow ups for all liens requiring research.
  • Research public county records.
  • Obtain required documentation to resolve HOA lien delinquency.
  • Submit settlement offer on behalf of client to resolve HOA delinquency.
  • Submit payment request to client once settlement offer decision obtained.
  • Ensure that all HOA payments are processed accordingly.
  • Ensure that all HOA recurring payments are set up with correct mailing addresses.
  • Understand and apply investor requirements
  • Image all documents in the corresponding folders.
  • Submit list of completed loans to Lien Research Supervisor for commenting & imaging.
  • Assist with special projects as needed and acting as a backup within the department

Required:
  • High School Diploma/ GED
  • Must have excellent attendance and no prior disciplinary action(s)
  • Ability to work holidays and overtime as required
  • Must be proficient with MS Office
  • Must be proficient with MS Excel formulas and macros
  • Must be proficient with MS Access
  • Strong organizational experience
  • Exceptional telephone demeanor
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Ability to negotiate lower payment to resolve lien.
  • Ability to coordinate payment to resolve past due balance.
  • Monitor payment in full and obtain documents to set up recurring payments
Preferred:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a business or financial related discipline

Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including skills, experience, work location and more. We offer competitive pay while still allowing for compensation growth within the position and company.
