Machinist II

POSITION SUMMARY:Machines parts according to specifications for assemblies. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Reads and interprets blueprints and drawings to machine parts. Sets-up and operates conventional and CNC machines. Reworks molds and tools damaged in production. Completes related paperwork. Maintains a safe working environment. Builds/repairs parts and makes repair parts for maintenance. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintains a clean work area. Supports and helps co-workers as needed. Perform other duties assigned by supervisor. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of 2 years machine shop experience. Mathematical skills (addition/subtraction, multiplication/division, geometry, trigonometry). Basic knowledge of weights, measures and metric conversions. Basic verbal and written communication skills. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Prolonged standing. Lifting up to 20 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Frequent bending, stooping, pushing and pulling.
