We pride ourselves on a culture of ambition, creativity, and teamwork, constantly seeking innovative minds ready to challenge norms and drive progress in our field.About The RoleAs a Sr. CNC Machinist at Whisper Aero, you will be focused on applying cutting-edge rapid prototyping techniques and low-rate initial production techniques to the production of rotating turbomachinery. This role requires a solid track record of bringing complex ideas and geometry to life.What You'll DoSet up, operate, and maintain multi-axis CNC machines, including CNC mill-turn machines and manual mill/lathe machines.Complete machining operations from drawings and/or verbal instructions.Perform various types of drilling, tapping, broaching, milling, and turning on CNC machines.Train technicians and engineers on the safe operation and maintenance of CNC machines.Lead and create a safety-first shop environment.Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent certificate.10 years of experience with g-code, setup, operation, and/or programming of CNC mill/lathe machines.Demonstrated experience in machining complex parts with tight tolerances using 5 axis CNC machining equipment.Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and CAD models, with experience in GD&T.Demonstrated experience in designing machining fixtures and programming for multi-axis milling machines.Ability to lift up to 25 lbs unassisted.Bonus QualificationsExperience with CNC Mill-Turn multi-axis machines.Background in aerospace manufacturing or precision applications.Experience in machining rotating assemblies (turbomachinery, electric motors, etc.).Benefits:Top-tier Benefits: 100% paid Medical, dental, and vision for employees, 75% paid for dependentsPTO & Federal Holidays: Starting at four weeks of paid time off for vacation, sick, and personal daysCompetitive Salary: Value-based compensation, plus enjoy Tennessee's no-income-tax lifeEnd of Year Bonuses: For eligible employeesWe always have beverages and snacks available to energize you throughout the day, with paid team meals based on office demands.401(k) Relocation AssistanceProfessional Development StipendWhisper Aero is proud to be an Equal Opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusivity in the workplace.
