**The Role**

As a Pastry Cook, you will liaise with the Executive Chef and other Chefs to support the design and replication of menu items. Your duties will include overseeing the baking of pastries for confectionary displays preparing bread, ice creams, sorbets, creams, simple syrups, amenities, displays/centerpieces, and special request items.

**The Requirements**

As a Pastry Cook, we would love you to have:

* At least 2-3 years of related high-volume experience

* High School Diploma or equivalent. Some college preferred

* Maintains local health department food handlers certification up to date and current

* Able to speak, comprehend and understand English

* Able to talk and hear directions in a loud kitchen environment

* A passion for food and the cooking position, exceptional work ethic and dedication

* Able to perform in a team serving environment

* Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays REQUIRED

* Ability to stand during entire shift

* Ability to stand for extended periods, and lift 30+ lbs

**The Restaurant**

Opened in the newly renovated 200-plus-year old Broadway Market, The Choptank is a classic fish & crab house, located in the heart of historic Fells Point, serving Marylands famous cuisine, highlighted by steamed hard-shell blue crabs. Enjoy a cocktail, crush or one of 20 draft beer selections while listening to live local music 7 nights a week. The Choptanks spacious patio features an outdoor bar, gas lanterns, games and plenty of seating so you can watch the bustling neighborhood that surrounds you.
