We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our team and play a crucial role in our continued success.

Position Overview:

As the Manufacturing Engineer at Willert Home Products, you will be a key contributor in the operation of our 3 manufacturing operations in St. Louis, West Virginia, and Eastern Pennsylvania. You will be responsible for designing, procuring, and optimizing production lines to ensure the production of high-quality consumer products at a low cost. You will leverage your extensive experience in manufacturing and packaging to streamline processes, enhance product quality, and drive efficiency improvements. The job will be based at our St. Louis headquarters, but occasional travel will be expected.

Responsibilities:

Production Line Design: Design and develop production lines for the manufacturing of consumer products, ensuring optimal efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Equipment Procurement: Identify, evaluate, and procure the necessary equipment and machinery to support production processes.

Production Line Setup: Lead the setup and installation of production lines, ensuring they meet safety, quality, and efficiency standards.

Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the quality assurance team to establish and maintain quality control standards, ensuring that products meet high-quality specifications.

Cost Reduction: Implement cost-effective measures to optimize production costs while maintaining product quality.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, procurement, and production, to ensure seamless product development and manufacturing processes.

Training and Development: Mentor and train junior production staff to improve their skills and knowledge in manufacturing processes.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

- Minimum of 8 years of experience in manufacturing and packaging of consumer products.

- Proven expertise in designing and setting up production lines.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on process optimization.

- Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools.

- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.

- Creative thinking and a commitment to innovation in manufacturing processes.
