Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will play a pivotal role in problem identification, troubleshooting, and the development of innovative mechanical solutions. With a focus on driving excellence and efficiency, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of engineering projects and the enhancement of product specifications.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Duties may include but will not be limited to the following:Create and execute work orders.Problem identification and troubleshooting a variety of difficult mechanical problems with limited supervisionDefine, coordinate, perform, and document engineering test reports with limited supervisionDevelop, design, or modify mechanical engineering layouts/schematics and/or detailed drawings/specifications of difficult scopePerform engineering analysis of difficult scope with limited supervisionTechnically lead and/or execute engineering projects, including development of key suppliers. Generate mechanical product specifications.May be responsible for the design, development and implementation of custom mechanical tooling, fixturing, and associated processes to enable the handling, assembly and/or disassembly of parts, components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies throughout the product life cycle. Establishes standards across all operational processesSpecify and review engineering documentationImplements concepts for variety of complex product issues and mechanical solutionsFunctional KnowledgeDemonstrates conceptual and practical expertise in own discipline and basic knowledge of related discipline.Desired skill and Experience: Excellent organizational skillsUnderstanding of engineering concepts, (GD&T, Tolerancing, Design for Manufacturing) and exposure to designing complex mechanical systems and productsExcellent math skills: ability to apply advanced mathematical principles and statistics to solve problemsProficient in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, PDM Exceptional technical and problem-solving skills and reasoning abilityAbility to communicate effectively and clearlyAbility to multitask and remain composed in highly dynamic growth-driven environmentPositive and effective interaction with other team members. Commitment to meet time sensitive objectives.Demonstrates knowledge of best practices and understands how own area integrates with othersKeeps abreast of competition and factors that differentiate them in the marketCapable of solving complex problems and takes a new perspective on existing solutionsExercises judgment based on analysis of multiple sources of informationImpacts a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities within own team and related teamsWorks within broad guidelines and policiesCapable of explaining difficult or sensitive informationWorks to build consensusQualifications & Experience:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical EngineeringMin 4-7 years related experienceAbility to travel up to 10% of the Time
