Job Description JOB OVERVIEW Under the guidance of the Assistant Director of Engineering, the HVAC Engineer maintains and repairs all building equipment, systems and components, ensuring safe and efficient operations. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Perform general building maintenance and upkeep of guest rooms, public areas and back?of?house equipment. Install, replace and maintain hotel equipment. Inspect and test machinery and equipment, diagnosing issues by listening to sounds and observing operations to prevent breakdowns. Repair and replace defective machinery parts to restore functionality promptly. Maintain the physical structure of the hotel, including walls, floors, doors, and windows. Conduct preventive maintenance on equipment and systems, accurately documenting all activities in maintenance logs. Respond promptly to guest and departmental maintenance requests, ensuring high satisfaction and operational efficiency. Communicate with maintenance supervisors and management regarding projects, repairs and safety issues. Participate in training sessions to stay updated on safety protocols and company standards. Follow all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe work environment. Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure smooth hotel operations. Respond quickly to emergencies like fires and power outages to protect guests, staff and property. Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors to support maintenance and hotel operations.
