About this Role:

Probst Electric is looking for a qualified and energetic individual to join our I.T. Department at our Caldwell Idaho location, who will be a complement to the company and its culture.

Qualified persons to be considered. should have great I.T. related troubleshooting skills specifically with Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office, Network Stack, Server Administration, Printers, and Apple IOS and Android mobile devices; being able to effectively balance speed and quality of work while multi-tasking, able to maintain good composure in stressful situations, be effective, honest, a respectful communicator, and be diligent in the planning and execution of tasks.

What You'll Do:
  • Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting for users to resolve computer, software, network, printing, and mobile device related issues in person, over the telephone, or remotely with remote assistance applications.
  • Provide individual and group orientation training of technology equipment, along with department driven projects and initiatives where applicable upon request.
  • Assist in maintaining the effective operations of the Information Technology (IT) Department.
  • Administration of desktop computers, printers, VOIP phones and mobile devices.
  • Assist with IT projects including system updates, upgrades, migrations, and outages.
  • Maintain current and accurate inventory of IT assets, and resources.
  • Troubleshoot all technology issues. Maintain issue log and/or list of required repairs and maintenance procedures.
  • Prepare and install workstations, connect, and set up hardware, load all required software, create/provide network accounts and passwords as required.
  • Monitor and enforce security of all technology.
  • Assist with the design and implementation of I.T. policies and procedures for managing computer systems and operations based on corporate guidelines/control framework.
  • Administration of servers, desktop computers, printers, desk and cellular phones, and tablets.
  • Provide technical support for connectivity of systems/network requirements, and other shared services.
  • Maintains and tests local and offsite backups of all servers.
  • Be able to spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers, which can cause muscle strain.
  • Lifting of computer equipment, supplies, and materials.
  • Some travel will be required; Need to be available for overnight/s to company offices and/or job sites.
  • Some after-hours support may be required.

  • Understanding of Risk Management Frameworks such as NIST 80053, ISO 27001, COBIT etc.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of virtualization, networking, Active Directory, Exchange.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of NTFS permissions and least privilege practices
  • Knowledge of PowerShell, SSH, and remote management.
  • Strong decision-making skills
  • MCP, MSA, MCSE, MTA, VMware VCP, CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, ITIL or any other IT related Certifications. (One or more preferred or demonstrated professional experience)
  • Associate/Bachelors/Diploma in Information Technology or Computer Science related field.
