The Obstetrics and Gynecology role: 24 Hour Shifts: 24hr Time Root cause for opening req: gap coverage Types of Cases: Obstetrics and Hospitalist Job Setting: Inpatient NICU Level: II - 32 weeks gestation and above. Baby-Friendly Hospital Total Hospital Deliveries (monthly avg.): 158 Estimated Deliveries for Hospitalists (monthly): 125 Estimated Patient Encounters for Hospitalists (not including deliveries) (monthly): 325 MFM onsite? No. UVA MFM supports program Residency Program & Type? N/A In-house Anesthesia? Yes Hospitalists to Provide GYN Coverage: Yes, emergent only Hospitalists Required to Perform Circumcisions: on an as needed basis- pediatricians perform them Hospitalists Needed for First Assist: Yes, as needed or when available 2.0 program with MD and CNM 24/7 First Assist Available to the Hospitalists: yes Hospitalists to Backup Midwives: Yes Hospitalists to Backup Family Practice: No Backup Available to the Hospitalists: Yes Requirements of the Obstetrics and Gynecology role: VA state license; active, unrestricted Board certified OBGYN VA State DEA BLS, ACLS Covid Vaccination- Required or Medical Exemption 100 deliveries in past 24 months no assisted, but preformed 25 GYN Cases in the last 12 months Benefits: Competitive Market Rate (rate based on availability, experience and certifications) Housing and transportation needs covered.
