JOB SUMMARY FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE:

  • We are seeking a courteous and professional Customer Service Representative to join our team. This role involves answering and greeting customer calls, addressing needs with empathy, clarifying requirements, and providing solutions. Responsibilities include updating customer tickets, effective communication with team members, and transferring misdirected requests. This position operates in a professional office environment with standard office equipment. A large portion of the responsibilities will be working with customers during the open enrollment period for customers

RESPONSIBILITIES FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE:

  • Answer and greet customer calls courteously and professionally using company guidelines.
  • Listen attentively to customer needs, show empathy, and clarify requirements for first-contact resolution.
  • Confirm customer understanding of solutions and provide additional assistance or education as needed.
  • Prepare accurate work and update customer tickets/files in the system.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and team members to ensure timely resolution of requests.
  • Transfer misdirected customer requests to the appropriate party.
  • Participate in activities to enhance customer satisfaction and business performance.
  • Maintain broad knowledge of company services, specializing in one or more service areas (e.g., Benefits, HR).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE:

  • Customer service or call center experience is desirable.
  • High School diploma or GED

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE:

  • No previous experience required
  • Knowledge of basic computer operations
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service/support skills
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Must be comfortable working in a performance-based and structured environment while demonstrating high ethical standards
