Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Sous Chef to assist in overseeing kitchen operations, manage staff, and ensure the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation. The ideal candidate will have a background in fine dining or luxury hospitality and strong leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Culinary Leadership: Assist the Executive Chef in meal preparation, menu planning, and kitchen operations, ensuring meals are of the highest quality and served on time.
  • Staff Management: Train and supervise kitchen staff, maintaining culinary standards and fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Menu Development: Collaborate with the Executive Chef to create and customize menus to meet residents' dietary preferences and restrictions.
  • Quality Control: Ensure food meets Spring Hills' luxury dining standards for quality, consistency, and presentation.
  • Sanitation & Safety: Enforce strict food safety and cleanliness protocols in compliance with health regulations.
  • Inventory & Equipment Management: Assist in inventory control, ordering supplies, and maintaining kitchen equipment.
  • Collaboration: Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure smooth meal service.
Desired Characteristics:
  • Culinary Expertise: Strong background in fine dining or luxury kitchens (5-star restaurants, luxury hotels, private clubs).
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead and develop kitchen staff in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to Detail: Focused on quality, creativity, and precision in food preparation and presentation.
  • Problem-Solver: Ability to proactively address challenges and maintain efficient kitchen operations.
  • Strong Communication: Clear communicator with the ability to collaborate across teams.
Experience & Education:
  • Required: High School Diploma or GED; Culinary degree preferred.
  • Required: Minimum 3 years of experience in high-end culinary roles, with 1-2 years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Preferred: Experience with specialized diets for senior residents.
  • Certifications: Food safety certification required.
