Position Summary

The Marketing Specialist oversees various digital marketing initiatives, including SEO/SEM, email marketing, content marketing, and website optimization. This role requires a mix of strategic thinking, technical skills, and creativity to effectively engage our audience and achieve our marketing goals.

Schedule: Average of 40 hours per week which may include evening and weekend events

Remote/Hybrid: Remote/Hybrid Eligible

Travel Requirements: Ability and willingness to travel for various marketing events within southern Idaho

Key Responsibilities

Digital Strategy Development:

  • In collaboration with the VP of Marketing, develop and execute comprehensive digital marketing strategies to drive traffic, engagement, and membership growth.
  • Stay updated with the latest digital marketing trends and best practices to ensure our strategies are current and effective.
SEO/SEM Management:
  • Conduct keyword research and optimize website content for search engines to improve organic search rankings.
  • Manage paid search campaigns (Google Ads, Bing Ads) to maximize ROI.
Content Marketing:
  • Collaborate with Marketing Agency to create and manage high-quality content for the website, blog, email campaigns, and social media.
  • Develop and implement content calendars to ensure consistent and timely delivery of content.
Email Marketing:
  • Design, implement, and analyze email marketing campaigns to nurture leads and engage members.
  • Segment email lists and personalize content to increase open rates and conversions.
Website Management:
  • Oversee the credit union's website to ensure it is optimized for user experience and lead generation.
  • Collaborate with web developers to implement changes and improvements.
Analytics and Reporting:
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of digital marketing campaigns.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on digital marketing performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
Collaboration and Coordination:
  • Work closely with the marketing team to ensure cohesive messaging across all channels.
  • Coordinate with other departments to highlight credit union events, promotions, and member success stories.
  • Assist in other marketing initiatives as needed.
Requirements

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, education, business, or a related field preferred. Certifications in Google Analytics, Google Ads, HubSpot, Facebook Blueprint, and Hootsuite Social Media Marketing a plus.
  • Excellent presentation and public speaking skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • At least 2 years of digital marketing experience.
  • Proven experience in managing digital marketing campaigns.

Physical Requirements:
