Overview:

Transportation Specialist

Monday through Friday average 9-5

$16.00/hr

Calo has an opening in our transportation department for a Transportation Specialist (TS) who will facilitate the transportation of students for local doctor appointments, ER visits, airport runs, and any other needs scheduled by the Transportation Manager. The TS will work closely with the Campus Coordinator and Transportation Manager with daily tasks and be diligent in completing their notes from off-campus visits in a timely manner. The TS reports to the Transportation Manager. This position requires an organized, flexible, and task-orientated person. This will be a 40 hour work week with a circumstantial schedule.

Responsibilities:

Physical Requirements

  • Sitting/Standing employee may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time
  • Walking the employee may be required to walk considerable distance during the workday
  • Lifting the employee may be required to raise or lower students from one level to another during the shift and must be able to lift up to 45 pounds in order to perform SCM
  • Carrying the employee may be required to carry objects in his or her arms and must have full mobility of arms to perform SCM
  • Stooping and Crouching The employee is required to bend forward at the waist and/or kneel in order to perform SCM
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be at least 25 years of age to be eligible for car rental agreements
  • A clean driving record
  • Pass physical and drug screen
  • Pass state and federal background checks
  • Working knowledge of Missouri driving laws
  • Pass Calos driving test and be approved for Calos drivers list
