Sumo Medical Staffing is recruiting for an experienced Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospitalist/Physician to work locum shifts in Davenport, Iowa (IA) to begin in January as soon as credentialed, the role offers ongoing work with a competitive market rate and benefits. The Obstetrics and Gynecology role: Flexible shifts: 24-hour (8a-8a) or 12-hour (8a-8p) options Must be available Monday-Friday, with some weekend coverage Flat rate per shift (inclusive of all hours worked) Comfortable on-site sleep room for 24-hour shifts Call schedule provided 1-2 months in advance No overtime Practice Details Setting: OB & GYN hospital coverage, Level III Trauma Center Call ratio: 1:5 Average deliveries: 65-80 per month Support staff: Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, OR, ER, plus 1-2 CNMs Onsite lab and ultrasound EMR: Cerner Responsibilities Triage and deliver Genesis OB patients Cover ER calls for OB/GYN Rounding on inpatients Manage 'no doc' patients (approx. 1/day) Circumcisions (optional) Work alongside residents during call shifts Required Procedures Obstetrics: Low & high-risk pregnancies, FHR interpretation, OB ultrasounds, amniocentesis Labor & Delivery: Vaginal deliveries, C-sections, VBACs, repair of 3rd/4th degree lacerations Gynecology: Open and laparoscopic procedures, ectopic pregnancy management, ovarian surgery Requirements: IA License Active and unrestricted, or IMLC (LOQ in hand) BC-Obstetrics/Gynecology Fetal Monitoring certification (AWOHNN) Clean malpractice and background Two professional references (one supervisory) Benefits: Competitive Market Rate (rate based on availability, experience and certifications) Housing and transportation needs covered.
