Position Description
MAJOR FUNCTION:
The Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) provides staffing support throughout the medical center to adequately meet the volume and acuity of patients. Float Pool RN's perform direct patient care in a variety of patient care areas such as medical surgical, stepdown, and ICU level of care.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience:
•Applicant must be enrolled in a BSN or MSN program from an accredited school of professional nursing and graduate on or before the third employment anniversary date into a nursing position.
•BSN or MSN graduates preferred.
•Minimum of 3 years post education clinical experience and competencies for desired role in medical surgical acute / stepdown.
Certifications/ Licensure:
•Current New Jersey license
•Current American Heart Association - BLS Health Care Provider
•Current ACLS
