Controller (Part-Time)

Do you enjoy continuing to work, but want something less stressful with flexible, manageable hours?? Our client is seeking a dedicated Controller to join their team on a Part-Time, Permanent basis. In this role, you will provide strategic direction and oversight for all financial activities of the organization and designated business functions. This position will work closely with the CEO and board members to ensure the efficient operation of financial systems and contribute to the long-term organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive policies and procedures for all financial activities.
  • Establish and uphold internal controls to safeguard agency assets.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial data, including budgets and monthly/year-to-date statements.
  • Actively participate in year-end audits for all corporate entities.
  • Collaborate on special projects as assigned by the Executive Director.
  • Contribute to long-term strategic planning and financial forecasting.
  • Assist in grants, proposals, and reporting requirements.
  • Support special funding audits and fundraising initiatives.
  • Manage cash flow, including accounts payable and receivables.
  • Assist with agency tax return filings.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for insurance, IT, telecommunications, and purchasing matters.
  • Present financial statements to the Boards of Directors for review.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required; CPA preferred.
  • 5-7 years of accounting experience with supervisory responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in relevant accounting software and computer applications.
