Registers patients in the system as necessary.Collects and reviews all patient insurance information and completes insurance forms.Confirms patient insurance verification and eligibility. Obtains pre-authorization of services and/or referrals. Assesses patient financial requirements and advises patients and families on insurance benefits, co-pays and financial obligations.Scheduling new patient consults; orders entered by providers for internal or external needs; imaging; radiation treatments; proceduresCoordinate with providers and team to schedule necessary tests and proceduresAnswering phones Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required.Minimum two years of medical business office experience with insurance procedures and patient interactionAdditional Attributes:Strong Desire to LearnFlexibleAbility to Multi-taskCan Successfully Prioritize TasksStrong Organizational SkillsAbility to work independently and collaborativelySelf-StarterPHYSICAL DEMANDS :The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
