The non-registered Ultrasound Technologist performs ultrasound imaging studies as directed by a physicians order. The technologist must be capable of performing patient care for age groups 0 to 105 years old.

Responsibilities:

JOB SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Responsible for applying proper techniques and patient positioning to produce high quality ultrasound images.

2. Responsible for on call procedures.

3. Responsible for assisting physicians with procedures.

4. Ensures operation of ultrasound equipment by following manufacturers instructions and calling for repairs when needed.

5. Assists with maintaining necessary supplies in the department.

6. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with all policies, rules, and regulations.

Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education

a) High School graduate or equivalent.

b) Enrolled in an accredited training program for Ultrasound Technology.

  • Licensure/Certification

a.) SPI Certification required

  • Work Experience

a.) Prefer one year of clinical experience.
