Overview
Mentors the QA team on QA Testing Methodology, QA Mechanized tools, and QA processes and procedures to ensure best practice enforcement, consistency of metrics reporting and positive project outcomes. Responsible for the supervision, and deliverables of QA Analysts. Achieve and maintain superior content knowledge of applications and assigned projects.
Responsibilities
* May be relied on to perform any and all QA Analyst related tasks / responsibilities. Mentors QA Analysts and Testers regarding applications, methodology, tools and process & procedures. Assists the BA in the creation of functional requirements by providing information on processes, functionality, system capability, interfaces and workflow related to the project. Works with IT, the user community and core project team to review and approve the Functional Requirements and Technical Specifications for the projects in accordance with the business requirements and QA standards. Reviews and/or Provides LOE's, tasks with estimates and assists with ensuring the tasks are tracked accurately in the Project Plan Define QA strategy for Project and/or work with QA Analyst III in defining QA strategy. Oversee and Review the Quality Assurance planning, creation and execution of test cases by the QA Analyst(s) on the assigned projects, within project budget and timeline. Assist in coordinating the work of the QA resources and facilitate communications. Work with QA Analysts to ensure the QA documentation & deliverable dates for the project. Responsible for QA code deployments and QA Approval / Signoff on initiatives under their functional area. Works with the QA staff and project manager to gather and report all planning and testing task completion for all assigned projects. Works with Operations and applications departments to ensure all environment setup issues are addressed and accepts and approves additional code builds into the existing QA environments. Responds to and is responsible for the escalation of QA environment set-up issues. Back-up for QA Manager. Attends Project meetings as needed/requested. Participate in QA interviews, for Manual QA Analysts, Test Automation Specialists, and Tester candidates. Performs other tasks as assigned. Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field or +10 years of QA Lead experience is required
* 5-7 years experience in testing application code or comparable application system experience is required
* Experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, or health insurance industry is required
* Experience in working closely with multiple IT roles - PMs, Bas, Developers, etc. is required
* Previous quality assurance lead experience is desired
* Knowledge of Windows Office, Microsoft Project. Project Management skills. Highly proficient and experienced performing QA testing on various hardware platforms (i.e. AS400, Web, Desktop)Hands on experience with C#/VB.Net, Visual Studio .Net, SQL Server and/or LINQ) is required
* Experience with HP Quality Center/ALM. is desired
* CSTE or CQA certification, QA/QC Certification or equivalent is desired
* Ability to prioritize work load and consistently meet deadlines is required
* Strong organizational skills; attention to detail is required
* Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills with the ability to allocate and prioritize the work of others is required
* Positive attitude with proven experience in seeking solutions is required
* Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing is required
* Strong leadership skills are desired
