**Job Title:** Registered Nurse **Job Specialty:** ICU Float Pool **Job Duration:** 8 weeks **Shift:** Night 4x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) **Guaranteed Hours:** **Experience:** Minimum 3 years, large hospital experience required **License:** Valid permanent California license required **Certifications:** ACLS, BLS, NIH **Must-Have:** Ventilation support experience, IV start, ICP, telemetry, conscious sedation **Preferred Certifications:** CCRN **Preferred Skills:** Level I Trauma, Charge experience, PA Lines **Job Description:** - This position is in the ICU Float Pool, which will require floating to various units including Neuro, Respiratory Failure, Vent support, Hemodynamic instability, Acute Myocardial Infarction with complications, Environmental injuries, and Transplant floats such as Liver, Kidney, Pancreas, and Heart/Lung. - Candidates will also float to Overflow PACU, Post-anesthesia care units, and Stepdown. - Must be comfortable floating down to Med-Surg, Telemetry, PCU, overflow, and other similar units when required. - Orientation includes 12 non-billable hours. - New hires must not request time off within the first two weeks of the start date. - RNs with exposure to a comprehensive transplant center are preferred. - Epic charting experience is highly preferred. - Compliance requires an up-to-date profile document with supervisor references and all relevant certifications. - COVID-19 vaccine and current booster, as well as a Flu vaccine, are required without exemptions. - Candidates should be flexible and willing to float within the hospital to meet staffing needs. - Previous permanent employees must have a gap of 24 months before being eligible for travel positions. - This position is open to first-time travelers with the required experience.
