Description
Matrix Technologies is seeking a motivated self-starter to join our engineering team in a Building Information Modeling (BIM) Coordinator role. This position will have primary responsibilities over our Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) environment and requires an in-depth knowledge of BIM and design coordination software including ACC Docs, Autodesk Revit, Plant 3D, Navisworks, and other products.
The BIM Coordinator will work with our BIM Manager and Software Support Specialist to support BIM/CAD initiatives and a diverse team of multi-discipline engineers and architects to solve problems and execute projects for industrial and manufacturing clients. We are looking for a talented individual with strong organizational, management, and interpersonal skills that can interact and work well across all levels of the organization. This position will offer a variety of challenges including:
Developing and maintaining BIM/CAD templates, standards, specifications, and workflows.
Setting up ACC projects and managing project models.
Assisting project teams with using BIM/CAD software efficiently.
Providing BIM/CAD training for new hires and project teams
Troubleshoot and resolve various computer software problems involving engineering design software applications
Role, title, and compensation will be commensurate with the experience of the candidate. We are willing to train the right candidate.
Specifications
Legally eligible to work in the United States
Associates or Bachelors of Science degree in engineering, construction, architecture or related field
Two (2) to four (4) years of related design, drafting, modeling, software support or BIM management experience
Must be proficient in Autodesk software including AutoCAD, Revit, ACC, and Navisworks.
Prefer experience working with ReCap, point clouds, and Plant 3D preferred. Experience with 3D scanning is valuable.
Understanding of multi-discipline design and drafting practices including architectural, mechanical, piping, structural, and electrical is preferred.
Responsibilities
Support transitioning our teams to Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) Document Management and Design Collaboration for project document control and design coordination.
Provide BIM/CAD training, mentorship and implementation for multi-discipline engineers and designers located in multiple offices.
Support BIM Manager with developing and managing BIM templates, standards, specifications, and workflows. Audit projects to help enforce these standards.
Collaborate with document management teams to setup BIM projects and provide support for project team members.
Provide support for new software initiatives and the integration of new packages with our existing standards.
Assist with project file archiving. Establish and enforce file archiving and restoration procedures.
Assist Senior Software Support Specialist with tracking numbers of software licenses and license disposition.
Participate in CAD committee and maintain ESD CAD standards, procedures, and documentation.
We offer a competitive salary commensurate with experience, skills, and qualifications, ranging from
$60,000 to $80,000
annually. The final salary will be determined based on various factors including candidate's experience and qualification.
