We are currently accepting applications for an energetic, experienced Senior Sales Manager to join the team here at Embassy Suites Orlando Lake Buena Vista South. Our award-winning property is 300 suites with 40,000 sq. ft. of meeting, pre-function, and event space. We have a well-tenured management team, which runs this very busy hotel and convention center in an exceptional manner with high standards, expectations, and strong results orientation.

As a Senior Sales Manager, you would be expected to scale and grow the Corporate Group segment as part of Embassy Suites overall group mix/philosophy

  • Organize and control activities such as telemarketing, outside sales calls, conducting site visits, entertaining clients, developing and soliciting new leads, presenting and preparing written proposals and contracts
  • Develop target lists and action plans for account solicitation
  • Participate where appropriate in related trade civic/business-related functions as a representative of the hotel and potentially the destination (DMO/CVB)
  • Proficiently utilize Salesforce (Delphi.fdc) to log activities and mine for opportunities
  • Proficiently utilize market intelligence provided by the hotel to uncover future business and opportunities
  • Achieve quarterly/annual booking goals/quotas
  • Compile weekly productivity report
  • Maintain and adhere to company values
  • Travel as required when requested by Director of Sales and Marketing
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of knowledge, skills, and abilities.

  • Two years minimum experience in Hospitality Sales
  • One-year minimum in Hotel Sales Manager role in a comparable hotel/role.
  • Local market experience preferred
  • Passion and enthusiasm for hospitality are a must
  • Excellent communication skills - verbal and written
  • Self-motivated and willing to learn
  • Proactive sales approach assertive and fast-paced, driven to succeed
  • Strong time management skills
  • Proficient use of Salesforce, Cvent, MeetingBroker, and Microsoft Office suite
  • Basic mathematical skills that allow for calculation of room blocks and average rates
  • Ability to travel throughout designated markets in a timely manner
  • Ability to organize detailed information
  • Analytical ability to decipher data and make sound decisions

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Position is hotel-based in Kissimmee, FL
  • Some travel may be required from time to time
