Position Summary: The role of the Buyer is to ensure that the plant has the right part, at the right price, at the right time, and in the right quantity. _________________________________________________________________________________ Essential Job Functions and Duties: Purchase direct and indirect materials for the operation. Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counting and receiving. Review components issued to work orders for accuracy. Document and correct material quality issues through the SCAR process. Identify and present potential cost savings. Coordinate material delivery requirements with our 3PL. Participate in daily shop floor meetings. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Administrative work that the Plant Manager may need to do. Always comply with Driverge’s Core Values (LOVE IT). Complete other duties as assigned. Position Qualifications and Entrance Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in business or related field Minimum of 2 years experience in buying, preferably in a manufacturing environment Previous experience in manufacturing ERP. Candidates must complete criminal and motor vehicle background check Skills: Solid negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills Solid problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities Proficient in procurement software and systems Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions Knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices Strong organizational and time management skills Proficient in Microsoft Office applications Physical Demands/Work Environment: Able to work in a fast-paced environment Participate in required company safety programs, training, and PPE guidelines.
