Test Automation Engineer

Description:

Responsible for the creation of test automation for in-vehicle infotainment systems for both Android and QNX operating systems. Will be developing test automation from design requirements, as well as automating existing manual tests.

- Work in a fast-paced agile development team delivering solutions that will enable test automation of software at the vehicle and module level.

- Review specifications and identify clear product requirements.

- Develop and execute functional and integration test plans for feature implementation.

- Automate test cases using Python and in-house libraries.

- Investigate and reproduce in-vehicle infotainment software issues and verify the software fix.

- Use defect management tools for defect creation and monitoring of resolution.

- Fully understand and apply Ford Standards and tools for pipeline development.

- Follow code artisanship best practices, quality, and security standards; and contributes to the improvement of them.

Required:

+ Python, embedded software, test automation, Trestrail, Jenkins, Jira, Slash, GitHub

+ Experience in automation testing of embedded operating systems using Python

+ Familiarity with Agile development processes

+ Methodical; capable of prioritizing work and working to tight deadlines.

+ An excellent communicator, both oral and written.

+ CLI (Command line interface) to create Linux command lines and automate them

+ Bachelor's degree.
