LocationGermantown,WIDescriptionOur Client is seeking a Welder to assist in high workload for this manufacturing company of scrap and waste handling systems. This key role will complete set-up work and fabricate/weld customized shredders, conveyor systems, trim cutters, and material handling fan systems.These products dispose of paper, foil, light metal, wood pallets, skids, plastic and use a unique patented "Pierce-and-Tear" shredding concept.This is a contract role that will convert to full time in approximately 3 months and is located in Germantown, WI, and pays in the $24-$25 per hour range, based on experience.A full benefit plan is included.The core of this business is creating bigger and better ways to destroy waste and move it out of an industrial setting.The current staff of 27 includes ownership, office, and the shop floor.In this role,the Welder will work on a variety of projects, all customized to client needs.This senior level individual should be able to work independently and read blueprints to create large custom metalfabrications .This role works closely with the engineering team and a group of talented shop workers including fabricators, electricians, and general workers that form a great team with long tenure creating a special and industry leading product line.Duties include: Set-up & welding of .035 hardwire Complete Small fixture welding Open table welding (machine guards, etc) Clean/grind your own welds Work with 16GA sheet metalthru ½" mild plate steel and structural steel components (no stainless steel) Work primarily with thinner sheet metal gages (16GA-1/4") Perform multiple set-ups each day in a custom setting (this is not the same daily weld). Must have prior experience with open table fit-up work for a variety of projects. Must have prior experience to Lay down chaulk lines as needed to create an assembly without fixtures. Qualifications 3+ years experience as a Welder/Fitter with MIG welding.(They use no TIG, no Stick, no Subarc) Ability to read blueprints and skill in product construction to machine and weld jobs as specified by work orders. Some experience working with thinner sheet metal gages (16GA-1/4") Must be able to lift at least 50 lb. Must have prior overhead crane experience Must have prior fork truck experience Additional fabrication machine experience is helpful (drill, bandsaw, brake press, etc.)
