Primary Purpose of the Role
Oversees Foodservice Division cycle counting and inventory control practices and procedures to maintain transactional accuracy and assure compliance with audit requirements. Develops and implements logistics plans to streamline product manufacturing, transportation, storage and distribution.
Executes inventory control practices, reporting and general oversight of cycle counting & inventory control
Investigates root cause analysis of inventory transaction errors and implements corrective actions
Maintains required documentation in accordance with the Inventory control and Cycle Count Program process
Is the primary contact for Auditors during annual cycle count and inventory control related observations
Cycle count primary and bulk locations on a regular schedule. Investigates inventory discrepancies and reconciles inventory balances.
Leads the variance challenges and adjustments ensuring all audit requirements are met and documented
Leads and Executes annual physical inventory requirements for outside warehouses/vendor service warehouses
Identify process improvements throughout the Distribution Center that will increase inventory accuracy
Assist with investigating inventory discrepancies and troubleshoot
Provides assistance for verification, research and error resolution for incoming purchase order receipts and inter-company transfers
Manages system variance reconciliation and inventory accuracy to include WM vs. LX variances, LX vs. Red Prairie variances, PIX and/or ECM error messages, Crossroads production reporting errors related to WM, and un-managed warehouse locations
Performs non-WM purchase order receipts and transfers in the LX ERP system
Supports Distribution in initiatives and other tasks/duties as assigned
Manages all off site, 3rd party inventory and material transfers.
Prepares and runs reports including summarizing delivery status and raw material.
Owns audit traceability validation from raw material receipt to finished good shipment and all steps in between
Maintains driver communication for what the next steps are for drivers on intercompany product movement and on what trailers are priority to be unloaded from the yard
Maintains location of product in the most efficient process in the warehouse including reserve and active locations and master cases.
Required Skill/Abilities
Excellent time-management and organization skills
Strong logical and analytical skills, detail oriented
Strong problem-solving skills
Proficient in Microsoft Suite
Self-motivated and has the ability to work both independently and as a team
Ability to learn different IT Systems (LX, WM knowledge is a plus, but not required)
Ability to identify process shortfalls and submit workable changes
