Description: The Quality Compliance Technician will assist the Quality Manager/SQF Practitioner to ensure compliance to Quality standards and lead site audits of Quality System Programs. This position is responsible for managing various floor-audits.

  • Extensive fine manipulation of fingers and hands including but not limited to tasks such as keyboarding and filing.
  • Ability to hear, understand and distinguish speech and/or other sounds including but not limited to machinery alarms while on the production floor.
  • Ability to have clear near vision to complete tasks including but not limited to computer use.
  • Follow all general company rules, policies, and procedures. Complete all mandatory company training.
  • Adhere to and comply with all company safety procedures and protocols.
  • Maintain a current working knowledge of quality systems, methods, and processes.
  • Support internal and third-party quality audits.
  • Primary responsible for conducting internal audits including GMP, GDP, Glass & Brittle Plastics, Chemical, Lumens, etc.
  • Assist with the oversight and management of documentation related to the Quality Management System.
  • Provide support to manufacturing and review of documents such as batch records, charts, logs for accuracy and completion.
  • Perform weekly audits of assigned housekeeping area and complete the required documentation.
  • Familiarity with Quality Management systems such as ISO 9001, BRCGS, and/or SQF.
  • Contribute to the creation of standards for operations to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and third-party certifications such as SQF.
  • All other duties as assigned by the Quality Manager/SQF Practitioner.

Work Environment:
  • Indoor office environment with a desk located on 3rd via access of outdoor stairs.
  • Occasional exposure to manufacturing areas, fumes, or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.
  • The noise level in the work environment can be frequently loud.
  • Plant production environment will include occasional exposure to hot or cold environment conditions, dependent upon weather.
  • Seldom exposure to magnetic fields while on the production floor.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. Must be willing to work weekends, nights and holidays as needed.

Required Education and Experience:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
Preferred Education and Experience:
  • 2-5 years of work experience with quality audits in a biotech manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
