Job Title: Developer III

Duration: 11 month contract

Location: Remote: able to work on-site as needed. Local to Columbia, SC (29223)

Position Overview:

One of CEI's largest Healthcare clients is seeking a Software Developer to join their Organization You would join the Commercial Web Team that provides development and support for external facing non-government applications. You will provide technical direction and support and would be involved in the Analysis, design, development, and implementation of web/mobile applications. Candidate will perform all phases of applications systems analysis and design and prepare detailed specifications from which complex programs will be written. This will also include the designing, coding, testing, debugging, documenting and maintenance of these programs. You will be tasked to formulate scope and objectives through research to develop or modify complex systems.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree-in Computer Science, Information Technology or other job-related degree.
  • 4 years-of application development, systems testing or other job-related experience.
  • Front end: Vue.JS/React or Angular, Javascript, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap
  • Back End: Java, REST API

Preferred Skills (But Not Required):

  • Jenkins

Day to Day/Responsibilities:

  • Ensure team members understand the business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions, organizational standards are maintained, and applications are delivered according to project timeliness. Provide expert system knowledge, perform research, attend meetings, and review documents.
  • Maintain and modify programs according to specifications. Code, compile, and implement application software that is delivered on time and within budget. Evaluate basic interrelationships in immediate programming area to determine how changes in one program will affect another related area.
  • Test modified programs, create necessary test files and data, verify logic, debug, and write relevant documentation.
  • Analyze production systems, recommend systems enhancements, provide instruction to production support team. Research customer issues and determine appropriate resolutions. Coordinate implementation of modifications or enhancements.
  • Analyze and evaluate existing or proposed systems. Develop functional design and technical specifications, concept diagrams, and work flow diagrams and related procedures to process data using appropriate systems environment/platform. Document programs/procedures.
