Job Description The Lifestyle Director is responsible and accountable for the proactive leadership, direction, development, and supervision of all lifestyle programs. This role includes strategic program planning, budget creation, scheduling, and implementing activities across various program areas. Additionally, the Lifestyle Director is the primary source of communication for our residents/guests through the communication platform, ensuring consistent and effective engagement. This position reports directly to the General Manager.
Requirements
Duties and responsibilities:
- Leadership and Communication:Communicate the core values and mission of ORI to support the achievement of resort goals.Serve as the primary communicator to residents through the resort communication platform, and social media, ensuring all community activities and events are up-to-date.
- Program Development: Create a comprehensive ownership program that includes monthly activities and events focusing on social connection, spiritual well-being, physical fitness, intellectual enrichment, emotional well-being, creative expression, and fun.
- Event Management:Work with social committee and all active clubs to create a seasonal calendar of events, including reserving meeting spaces, assisting with event planning, and coordinating with volunteers for execution.
- Volunteer Coordination:Recruit and manage resident volunteers to assist with events and programs, fostering a sense of community involvement and ownership.
- Vendor Management:Coordinate with external vendors, caterers, entertainers, and instructors to provide high-quality services and programs.
- Budget and Financial Management: Support the budget creation process and monitor the budget to ensure revenues and expenses align with departmental financial goals.
- Resident Engagement: Create open communication channels with owners to share ideas and gather feedback.Work closely with the social committee to enhance resident engagement and satisfaction through thoughtful and inclusive programming.
- Other Duties:Additional responsibilities may be assigned as necessary to support the overall success of the community's lifestyle programs.
Knowledge and Skills:
- High energy and a positive attitude.
- A passion for creating engaging, inclusive, and memorable experiences.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, social media, marketing platforms and resident communication platforms.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Creative problem-solving and the ability to think on your feet.
- Energetic, creative, and passionate about delivering exceptional experiences to residents and guests.
- High School Diploma or GED Required
- Minimum of 3-5 years in event planning, hospitality, or community management, with experience in a resort or similar setting highly desirable.
- Non-Typical office environment (frequent standing, walking, talking, etc.), both inside activities and outside activities.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move around for extended periods.

Rate of pay: $30.00 an hour.
