Succession planning opportunity Westlake Village Job Description Seeking a Tax Accountant to prepare individual, partnership, multi-member LLCs, S-corporation, C-corporation and fiduciary income tax returns. Must be comfortable with Lacerte software and well versed in California tax law. Must also be well versed in basis and PTE calculations as it pertains to partnership, multi-member LLCs and S-corporation returns. To succeed in this role, you should show interest in following changes to tax regulations and laws. Excellent time management skills are also essential, as youll have to ensure our company meets tight deadlines. Tax Accountant responsibilities also include organizing and maintaining records of tax payments. Ultimately, you should be able to recommend tax strategies that comply with laws and promote our clients financial well-being. Prepare tax payments. Estimate and track tax returns. Complete quarterly and annual tax reports. Organize and update the companys tax database. Recommend tax strategies that align with business goals. Prepare necessary paperwork for tax payments and returns. Share financial data with the accounting department. Identify tax savings and suggest ways to increase profits. Follow industry trends and track changes related to taxes. Liaise with internal and external auditors. Forecast tax predictions to senior managers. During the 11 weeks of tax season, you will work long hours, six days per week. In September, October and December, you will work 40-45 hours per week. You will then average 35 hours per week for the remainder of the year. Compensation will range from 70,000 per year to 150,000 per year, with higher compensation paid to employees with CPA or EA licenses. Compensation will be a combination of salary plus tax season bonus, plus 100 PPO medical insurance, 15 days PTO, 4 matching 401K, and paid CPE. We are open to a hybrid work schedule after one year of employment depending on ability, productivity, and the degree to which the accountant has integrated with the staff and clientele. Skills Required 4+ years of exp preparing individual, partnership, multi-member LLCs, S-corporation, C-corporation and fiduciary tax returns. Proficient in Lacerte and well versed in CA tax law. Prior exp working for a CPA Firm. Strong client relationship skills. Skills Preferred Industry certification e.g. EA CMA or CPA is preferred. BA Degree in Accounting, Finance.
