Screw Machine Maintenance

Location: Hamilton, OH
Pay Rate: $25.00/hr (negotiable based on experience)
Shift Hours: 3rd Shift, 7:45pm - 5:45am (SUN-WED, overtime possible on Thursday evenings)

Job Summary:

The Screw Machine Maintenance position is responsible for the maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipment. This role requires adherence to current ISO requirements and strict observance of safety and housekeeping standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine inspections of machinery.
  • Assist in training other team members.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment as per the COGZ Maintenance System.
  • Diagnose equipment problems by observing operations and employing troubleshooting methods.
  • Initiate material requests for parts as needed.
  • Perform necessary repairs on equipment.
  • Oversee contractors when outside vendor services are required for repairs.
  • Perform other duties as directed by the supervisor.
Required Qualifications:
  • Machine Maintenance Experience: Two to four years of related experience and/or training in machine maintenance, mechanical, electrical, electro-mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and troubleshooting skills. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
  • Specific Skills:
    • Trained in Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
    • Mechanically inclined with proficiency in using tools and machinery.
    • Ability to read machine drawings.
  • Education: High school diploma, trade school experience, or GED preferred. Must be capable of basic reading, writing, and mathematical functions.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend instructions, memos, and correspondence. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Mathematical Skills: Basic arithmetic skills required (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to understand and execute detailed written and oral instructions.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms.
    • Required to bend, stoop, and lift up to 35 pounds regularly.
    • Specific vision abilities include close vision, color vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
