The ideal candidate will be utilizing leadership, advocacy, and collaboration, this center-based speech-language pathologist will provide prevention, assessment, and remediation services for consumers who exhibit difficulties in the areas of language, speech, voice, and fluency. These services are designed to help consumers meet their specific goals and include. Primary Job Responsibilities With assistance from the Speech and Language Pathology Manager, organize a program that addresses local school speech-language goals. Use evidence-based methods and techniques appropriate to stated objectives. Use a variety of equipment, materials, devices, and aids. Use systematic and evidence-based intervention strategies to foster communicative competence. Provide feedback and reinforcement to consumers. Administer formal and informal assessments. Adjust intervention strategies based upon consumer performance. Use systematic procedures for reviews of consumer progress. Change activities based on consumer progress. Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations and ethical practices. Work cooperatively with school personnel to accomplish the goals/objectives of the local education agency. Collaborate constantly with staff, such as Program Managers, Clinic Directors, Psychiatrists, and Psychologists, to best meet the needs of all consumers. At the direction of the Speech-Language Pathology Manager, attend IEP meetings. Collect data for program planning and decision-making for consumers. Modify therapeutic instructional approaches and other functions from data gathered during therapy. Submit reports which meet local and state requirements. Implement the service delivery model most appropriate to the consumer. Provide activities commensurate with students’ interests and aptitudes. All other duties as assigned. Minimum Education/Qualifications Masters in Speech-Language Pathology with at least one (1) year experience (will consider a strong Clinical Fellow (CF) candidate). Required Licensure/Certification Certificate of Clinical Competence (if no longer a Clinical Fellow(CF). State of Ohio License in Speech-Language Pathology. Ability to obtain and maintain First Aid, CPR - adult, child, and infant. (Training will be provided, if not already certified). Special Skills and Requirements Exemplary attendance. Knowledge of devices and autism is a must. Demonstrated clinical knowledge of many children with autism at different areas of the ASD spectrum. A high degree of flexibility. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, to ensure professionalism with co-workers, parents, and consumers. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to stay focused. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Ability to follow all Behavioral Health and Boundless Health policies and procedures. Intermediate computer skills. Professional telephone etiquette.
