If that sounds like an organization you want to be a part of, we would love to have you.RESPONSIBILITIESDirect Patient CareAssesses incoming phone calls to determine the correct course of action based on customer's information and needsCorresponds with patients, salespeople, and visitors in an accurate, expeditious, courteous, and competent manner via in-person, telephone, and/or mailConducts appointment reminder calls to all patients; including noted documents required for their visitImpacts patient experience by demonstrating courteous and helpful behavior and a commitment to accuracyProvider and Team SupportGenerates daily lists of scheduled appointments for the clinicShares accountability for overall patient health outcomes by working in coordination with care teamsOperates to instill confidence in our care and facilities to patients, fellow employees, and other stakeholdersClinical AdministrationSchedules appointments and enter all required data into electronic schedulerTracks and records filled and cancelled appointmentsPrepares patient charts prior to their appointmentsVerifies patient appointments and arrival time at registrationReceives and records patient payments in computer and ledger for services receivedVerifies patient records are up to date and accurate; makes appropriate changes in computer system, as neededCompletes ongoing/annual training for position complianceEDUCATION/EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma/GED requiredOne year customer service experience required; in a healthcare setting preferredExperience working with electronic medical records and multi-phone lines preferredBilingual (English/Spanish), (English/Arabic), or (English/Mandarin) may be required by siteADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including superior composition, typing and proofreading skillsAbility to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formKnowledgeable about and experience with customer service etiquette and protocolsAbility to interact effectively with clinic personnel, patients, and diverse populationsAbility to successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneouslyExcellent planning and organizational abilityAbility to use computer programs, such as spreadsheets and databasesAbility to work as part of a team as well as independentlyAbility to work with highly confidential information in a professional and ethical mannerPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift/carry 20 lbs/weightAbility to stand for long periods of timeNeighborhood Healthcare offers a generous benefit plan that includes:Partially company paid Medical, Dental, and Vision Plans. Two plus weeks of vacation, Nine Holidays including two Floating Holidays of your choosing, Sick/Personal time, Volunteer Time Off (VTO), 403b Retirement plan (similar to a 401k), optional Health and Wellness events, and much morePay range: $22.00-$28.75 per hour, depending on experience.
