Riley Children's Health is announcing a new pediatric hospitalist service at Indiana University Health in Bloomington, IN. This is an exciting and unique opportunity for five pediatricians or med/peds to join the state's premier pediatric hospital program while contributing to Riley Children's mission and strategic growth initiative for providing closer access to care for our patients in southern Indiana. Highlights Clinical care covering the 6-bed pediatric inpatient unit, normal newborn nursery care, and ED consults for pediatric patients, as needed. Primary practice location at the newly opened IU Health Bloomington hospital (75-100%). Opportunities for growth through clinical coverage as staffing allows at Riley in Indianapolis, IU North in Carmel, and IU West in Avon Procedures include lumbar puncture and circumcision (training provided, as needed) Varied work schedule with a mix of days, nights and weekends to ensure 24/7 in house coverage. Holidays and weekends are evenly distributed among all faculty 154 shifts per academic year, averaging 12 hours per shift. Opportunities available for additional moonlighting at competitive rates. Faculty appointment commensurate with experience Clinical medical education and engagement with medical students, advanced practice providers, and Bloomington-based IU residency programs.
