Our client is a real estate property management company in the Greater Minneapolis area looking for a Property Accountant. This company is looking for someone who has 5+ years of related experience, passionate, and self-motivated. This company offers a fun work environment, a good work-life balance, and competitive benefits. This position is onsite.
The salary range for this position is: $75k-$120k.
The Property Accountant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare monthly operating financial statements, variance analysis, cash flow, annual budgets, and operating forecasts.
- Support annual audit, cost report, and tax return preparation.
- Support accounts payable and payroll functions to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Support financial software implementation for new clients.
- Analyze all aspects of financial performance and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Communicate and collaborate with departmental leaders and key stakeholders to stay abreast of spending, budgeting, reports, and evaluation.
- Ad hoc projects as needed.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in real estate including property management accounting.
- 1+ years of Senior Living experience preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
