Job Summary: This position is responsible for various types ofweld preparation, welding andweldingfinishing operations. Role and Responsibilities: + Set up and operate welding equipment as well as various power/hand tools. + Monitor the welding, burning, and fitting process to ensure parts are not overheated or damaged by wrapping, distortion, expansion orshrinkage + Performs daily preventativemaintenanceon welding tools and equipment asrequired + Responsible for the overall quality of the welding work including distortion and dimensional control and taking correctiveactions + Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, andregulations + Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish jobresults + Contribute to team effort by training others in performance of welding tasks asneeded + Inspect all work andensureit meets requirements prior to passing it on to the nextoperation + Document actions by completing production and qualityforms Minimum Requirements: + Minimum of 1-3+years’ experience in MIG/TIG welding + Ability to readblueprintsand follow specific written instructions andprocedures + Basic understanding ofmathematics asitrelatesto weldingassignments + Maintains a strong sense of urgency, initiative and ability to understand andsolverproductionsproblems + Strong work ethic with the ability to workindependentlyas well as on a team + Must be able tolift upto 50 pound and stand for extended periods oftime Education: + High school diploma orequivalent + Welding certificatepreferred Powered by JazzHR
