Please note that this is a contract role providing services to Amazon via Allegis Global Solutions. If you are selected for this role, you will be employed by AGS and will not be an employee of Amazon. Human Resources Partners (HRP) provides front-line human resources support to individual contributors and/or managers in one or more organizations. They provide leadership in the implementation, development, and execution of HR related policies, programs, and guidelines. The HRP is a culture keeper for Amazon’s Leadership Principles and actively works in promoting them in all interactions; they apply knowledge of the business and understanding of objectives to successfully influence and partner with other groups around the company (legal, recruiting, builder relations) to advocate for employee needs. They are consistent in their approach and skilled at Earning Trust with internal customers and stakeholders by consulting with employees and managers to address root causes of issues and address employee and labor relations issues with a systematic approach. They coach managers of all levels to increase their capability as managers and as leaders. Key skills and abilities of ideal HRP candidates include coaching, consulting, facilitation, influencing, communication, analysis, Builder engagement, risk evaluation, empathy, problem solving, and high judgement. The successful candidate will be an HR Partner for a group called Worldwide Public Sector. The client group that this HRP will support are focused on assisting Public Sector Clients with cloud adoption. This successful candidate will be supporting our builders that work in that Public Sector space. The HRP will be the point of contact for policy, guidance, performance management, consulting, conducting investigations, consulting on Amazon compensation. HR contact with expertise for all HR processes across AWS. They will have to prioritize the needs of their builders in a high-volume environment. They will make a lot of high judgement decisions. They will work with a wide range of HR Professionals. Duties; Supporting builders (employees) Respond to email and Slack messages Consulting and coaching employees (Ranging from Builders to Senior Leaders to Other HR Professionals) Attending meetings on video Respond to request via email and instant messaging Respond to employee concerns and questions in a timely manner Investigations Writing reports Reviewing data HR Trend Reporting Consult, coach, and develop leadership through decision making with empathy and high judgement; collaborating and actioning on talent management processes, people development and performance management, compensation, and employee relations issues. Foster and role model an environment of inclusion for all Builders. Advocate for Builders’ needs through end-to-end experiences that help Builders feel fully engaged in the work they do and valued for who they are. Exercise high-judgement, manage through ambiguity and serve as first point of escalation for other HR teammates and Builder concerns. Support Builder queries and situations with discretion and expertise, navigating Amazon Policies and applying high judgement as necessary. Actively promote adoption of technology and self-service. Collaborate and influence multiple levels of the organization, ranging from Builders, senior leaders, and other HR professionals. Conduct complex workplace investigations with significant autonomy. Understand business goals as well as design and implement new approaches or procedures to effect continual improvements both in the business and on the HR team.
