WORK LOCATION: Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Ln, Dallas, TX 75231 DEPARTMENT: Radiology CT Scan WORK HOURS: Full time for 36 hours a week. Thursday-Saturday 7p-7a. Includes holiday requirements. DEPARTMENT HIGHLIGHTS: Level I Trauma Center Comprehensive Heart Attack and Stroke Center 10 years in a row, Texas Health Resources has Placed #1 on Fortune’s list of Best Workplaces in Healthcare Holiday rotation required HERE’S WHAT YOU WILL NEED: Education: Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology required or Associate degree preferred. Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency required. Experience: 1-year radiologic technician experience w/out ARRT – CT required or No experience w/ ARRT - CT. Licenses and Certifications: ARRT – American Registry of Radiologic Technologist, R, upon hire required and ARRT – American Registry of Radiologic, CT, w/no radiology technician experience upon hire or ARRT – American Registry of Radiologic Technologist, CT, w/1 year radiology technician experience within 12 months of hire and CMRT – Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist, either by TDH or TMB, upon hire and BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required. SKILLS: Explains procedures to patient or guardian / family member if applicable prior to exam. Performs complex procedures including age-related criteria and developmental considerations. Assists radiologist with complex and invasive procedures using aseptic technique. Correctly sends and transfers images to PACS.
