Responsibilities:
Patient Care: Provide comprehensive medical care under the supervision of a physician, adhering to applicable state regulations. Clinical Assessment: Conduct thorough physical examinations and preventive health assessments according to established guidelines and physician instructions. Diagnostics: Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify clinical problems and determine patient care needs. Care Planning: Document physical findings, develop a care plan, and review these findings with the healthcare team. Collaboration: Consult with physicians and other healthcare professionals to discuss patient cases and care plans. Scope of Practice: Operate within the scope of practice as defined by education, training, and established protocols. Prescriptive Authority: Exercise prescriptive privileges in accordance with the Arkansas State Board of Nursing and Arkansas State Board of Pharmacy, excluding Schedule I or II medications. Policy Review: Annually review and update clinic policies in collaboration with the Medical Director. Regulatory Compliance: Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with federal, state, and institutional guidelines. Program Development: Lead and participate in program development initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and meet organizational needs. Interdepartmental Collaboration: Work with various departments to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of wound care programs.
Qualifications:
Education: Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program. Certification: Current certification as an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) or Physician Assistant (PA) in the state of Arkansas. Experience: Previous experience in wound care or a related clinical field is preferred. Skills: Strong clinical assessment skills, ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment, and excellent communication abilities. ACLS and BLS Required
