The Opportunity We are seeking a Senior Accountant to become a pivotal part of our corporate accounting team at our high-growth, fast-paced company. This role presents significant leadership opportunities, including mentoring junior staff and acting as the right-hand person to the Senior Accounting and Payroll Manager. The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving the efficiency and accuracy of our financial accounting processes and will play a key role in internal financial affairs. What You'll Do Regional Financial Close Leadership: Oversee and ensure the timely and accurate completion of monthly financial closes for the US, Canada, and Australia, in strict accordance with GAAP. Journal Entry and Reconciliation Management: Review and approve journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations, upholding the highest standards of accuracy and compliance. Technical Accounting: Conduct technical accounting research and contribute to the development and management of accounting policies and procedures documentation. Accounts Payable Oversight: Analyze accounts payable aging, manage weekly payment runs, and oversee AP invoice approvals to maintain financial integrity. Global Tracking System Oversight: Administer FloQast, our comprehensive tracking system for all month-end reporting tasks and balance sheet reconciliations. Cash Forecasting: Assist in preparing detailed global cash forecasts by country using the direct method, to enhance financial planning and analysis. Financial Analysis Collaboration: Collaborate with FP&A and various business units to provide in-depth financial analysis and support, driving informed business decisions. NetSuite Super User: Act as the vital link between NetSuite administrators and daily users, handling critical tasks such as currency revaluation, intercompany eliminations, and month-end close procedures. Also responsible for managing the chart of accounts and creating training materials and advanced reports for the global team. Financial Reporting: Support the preparation of annual financial statements, complete with comprehensive footnotes and disclosures. Annual Audit Support: Assist with the annual audit by coordinating tasks with auditors and ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate. Mentorship and Training: Offer ongoing guidance and training to junior team members, ensuring strict adherence to internal controls and best practices, and fostering their personal and professional growth. What You'll Bring Bachelor's degree in Accounting CPA License 4+ years of relevant Accounting experience. Preference for candidates with a blend of industry and public accounting experience. Understanding of US GAAP and methodologies for technical research. Located in Austin, Texas - ability to be in office on Thursdays. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Strong analytical, creativity, problem solving, time-management, and planning skills. Strong Microsoft Excel expertise and solid Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint skills. Intermediate technical and/or system knowledge of ERP systems such as NetSuite or similar accounting software. Must have the ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with internal staff and management. Must be able to demonstrate practical problem solving and trouble shooting skills.
