Business Management & Operations serves as a center of excellence committed to driving productivity, scalability, compliance, and quality across the business. The Business Analyst / Data Analyst will be focused on industry trends, developing in-depth, vertical-based actionable insights to help drive value for Legal, Licensing and Business Development.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Apply your expertise in quantitative analysis, data visualization and data-mining to tell the story behind numbers and derive actionable insights for the business

Assist leads to prioritize business and information needs and define corresponding master data

Achieve power-user status on multiple tools to ensure full understanding of master data

Filter and clean data by reviewing reports, and performance indicators to ensure accurate interpretation

Understand industry trends, and develop in-depth, vertical-based actionable insights that help drive value for Legal, Licensing and Business Development teams

Be able to draw correlations between elements of business process (eg. contract lifecycle, matter management, etc), do predictive analysis and be able to articulate recommendations to the business

Conceptualize and build scorecards and dashboards that are simple, visually appealing, yet showcase a powerful story

Design succinct presentations that balance high-level insights for leads and detailed view for vertical teams

Think and work independently, demonstrate creativity and deliver quick results, yet demonstrate a team-player attitude

Act as an insights expert for Legal, Licensing, Business Development, yet collaborate effectively with the core team and cross-channels

Filter and clean data by reviewing reports, and performance indicators to ensure accurate interpretation

Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality

Acquire and define data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems

WHO YOU ARE

Bachelor’s degree required

3-5 years of experience in data/business analytics (operations or systems a plus)

Ability to produce high quality work under deadline pressures, adjust to changing demands in a fast-paced environment, and execute with speed and precision

Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy

Experience scaling a fast-growing technology company a plus

Forward-thinker on emerging technology in the legal space

Strong analytical and visual presentation skills

Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques

Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Business Objects etc), databases (SQL etc), programming (XML, Javascript, or ETL frameworks)
