People of color are strongly urged to apply.About this position: Development OfficerObtains funds by cultivating and soliciting Planned Parenthood major donors and prospects.This is a full-time exempt position open in Alaska and Idaho. Local candidates preferred. *What youll be doing:Maintains and actively grows a portfolio of major donors; communicates personally with donors about areas of interest and the Planned Parenthood case for support; solicits gifts or pledged bequests from major donors; and thanks donors in thoughtful, creative ways; develops individualized cultivation plans for all donors in portfolio, works with other development team members to actively move donors up into this major donor portfolio, and identifies and cultivates other prospective networks/groups in the assigned state or area. The Philanthropy Officer will be expected to travel to see donors across the footprint of the affiliate.Compensation: PPGNHAIK'scompensation philosophy is based on equity and transparency. Starting offers are determined by both the candidate's directly applicable experience and internal equity within the pay grade. The pay range is $66K to $114k paid (annually).Major Responsibilities:Develops strategies to ensure the effective and timely cultivation and solicitation of major gifts and/or planned giving activity.Cultivate and steward assigned donor portfolio in accordance with established team standards and metrics.Keeps top prospects informed, interested, and involved.Solicits current and prospective major donors.Works cooperatively and collaboratively with regional volunteers and staff.Utilizes senior staff and board members or other volunteers in major donor activities as appropriate, including assigning thank-you calls and preparing talking points on PP news.Tracks moves management and solicitation in department database.Conducts prospect research as needed.Serves as effective spokesperson of Planned Parenthood by establishing knowledge on current local and national issues related to the mission.Works with other members of the Development team to ensure accurate donor records, pledged bequests, and gift acknowledgement procedures.Coordinates and organizes special stewardship events by identifying potential guests; developing announcements and invitations; making and coordinating arrangements; preparing talking points for speakers; and supervising activities.Maintains job knowledge by attending meetings and trainings as required.Assumes other tasks and responsibilities as assigned.Adheres to the PPGNHAIK code of conduct and all policies, procedures, and protocols.Demonstrates and maintains a high degree of professionalism.Takes action to support the affiliates commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion.Supports and acts in accordance with the PPGNHAIK customer service standards.Values continuous learning and seek ongoing training and development.Skills:Experience driving a metrics-based approach to fundraisingStrong relationship buildingSupervisory Responsibilities:None required.Education:BA/BS in related field preferred.Experience:A minimum of four years fundraising experience, including some major donor cultivation and solicitation.License:None required.Certification:CFRE preferred.Frequent travel within the state and occasional travel to other states required.Perks: As part of our total rewards package, we offer meaningfulwork, promotional opportunities, and competitive compensation.This position is only open to applicants that reside in the states of WA, ID, HI, KY, IN, AK.Our attractive benefits package includes medical, dental,and vision coverage for you and eligible dependents, life insurance, short- and long-term disability coverage.For additional information regardingcompensation, pay scales, or total rewards, please reach out to hre.contacts@ppgnhaik.org .Proof of completed COVID-19Vaccinations and Flu is required prior tostarting employment with PPGNHAIK.
