Job Title: Occupational Therapist Job Specialty: Rehabilitation Therapy Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Not specified License: Occupational Therapy License Certifications: Relevant Occupational Therapy certifications Must-Have: Competency in using Sansio Home Solutions EMR Job Description: - As part of a vibrant team, participate in providing client-related therapy services to help restore or improve independent function in daily activities.- Conduct initial and ongoing client assessments, applying appropriate goals and interventions to resolve identified problems.- Deliver occupational therapy services according to physician orders and regulations.- Notify physicians timely about changes in client status and obtain updated physician orders as necessary.- Identify and implement necessary modifications to equipment/environment to suit client needs.- Offer teaching and instruction to clients/caregivers to promote physical and emotional health.- Attend required staff meetings and case conferences.- Communicate effectively and timely with other healthcare team members to coordinate services.- Maintain caseload and agency productivity standards.- Respond promptly to referrals for occupational therapy and document care according to agency standards.- Protect client self-esteem, privacy, and confidentiality.- Ensure awareness of client rights and responsibilities.- Initiate emergency procedures as appropriate.- Adhere to agency, professional, and regulatory guidelines for clinical and administrative documentation.- Perform additional duties within the scope of practice as assigned by the Senior Director of Clinical Operations.- May require extended work schedules as needed.- Utilize established lines of authority and communication effectively.- Maintain clear and open lines of communication with all staff.- Utilize effective problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.- Demonstrate personal and professional accountability in line with occupational therapy standards.- Accept personal and professional accountability for own practice.- Comply with agency policies and procedures.- Demonstrate effective priority setting and time management skills.- Perform duties independently without supervision.- Present a positive image of the agency.- Exhibit a caring attitude towards clients, families, and staff.- Ensure ethical conduct and competency in performing assessments and treatments.- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care and communications related to patient care.
