Description:

Team SPS is hiring a Financial Analyst to join our Minneapolis office The Financial Analyst will perform key financial reporting and analysis of company sales and help drive streamlined reporting of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). The Financial Analyst will collaborate and partner with finance and business management to understand the business and provide reporting and analytic support

This is a hybrid position based in our Minneapolis office.

Day in the life ...
  • Support and work directly with the sales and customer support teams in reporting, analysis and monitoring related to key financial metrics
  • Assist business on monthly rolling forecasts and annual operating plan, including variance and trend analysis
  • Contribute to the identification of opportunities and actions to improve processes and financial performance through creation of financial reporting and analytic tools
  • Develop sound financial models and/or business cases in partnership with business managers
  • Collaborate with management and departmental owners in the development of operational metrics/KPIs, initiatives, ad hoc analysis, and reporting
  • Demonstrate ethical responsibility, personal accountability, and responsibility for the integrity and reliability of data, modeling, and reporting
  • Provide expertise to ad hoc projects and analysis as required; ROI modeling, etc.
  • Collaborate across business units within SPS; taking the initiative to address gaps when finding areas that need support, analysis or process improvement
  • Effectively communicate & present results of analyses
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and 0-4 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proven ability to take initiative and be proactive, with the desire to grow and learn
  • Curious and detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and a creative problem-solving approach
  • Ability to develop a strong understanding of internal data sources, including accessing, analyzing, and addressing specific questions with relevant data
  • Advanced computer proficiency, especially in Excel and financial management systems
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with strong follow through skills
  • Must be detail oriented with strong organizational skills; ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment
  • Works well in independent or team environments; demonstrated team player with positive attitude
Preferred Experience
  • Software / SaaS Industry Experience
  • Experience with PowerBI or Tableau
